For 5 years, Dr. Scott Allan has provided expert clinical care in a variety of emergency and urgent care settings. Joining Rochester Immediate Care in 2016, Dr. Allan now oversees all medical care at 6 of our Rochester Regional Health Immediate Care sites through his position as Medical Director.
A Rochester native, Dr. Allan earned bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from SUNY Geneseo. He became interested in urgent care medicine while serving his community as a volunteer EMT. He attended the University of Arkansas for medical school and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in 2014 at St. Joe’s hospital in Syracuse and went on to work at St. Joseph’s Urgent Care in Liverpool, NY for nearly 2 years.
Dr. Allan began working full time with Rochester Regional Health Immediate Care for 2 years, then worked per- diem 1 year prior to coming back as the Medical Director. During his time working per-diem, he applied his knowledge to improve student health, working at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Allan is currently an active member of the American Academy of Physicians.
When Dr. Allan is not delivering outstanding clinical care to patients, he enjoys spending time with his two children. Additional hobbies include exercising, hiking, mountain climbing, and traveling with his family.
